Lately, I have been loving cape scarves! They add that extra 'oomph' to any outfit and you can wear them in different ways. You can wrap it around your neck as a scarf, or wear it as a shawl. I always like to bring one to the beach because the weather can change so quickly and you can throw it on when it gets a little chilly. It's basically a fashion-forward blanket!
I went to the the farmer's market the other day and wore my checkered cape scarf (similar here) over a basic tee and distressed denim. I accessorized with velvet slip-on loafers (similar here) and layered gold necklaces. It's a great casual outfit for running errands or having lunch with friends.
