If you've ever wanted to see an elephant seal, then you should go to Chimney Rock. From December to March, you may view several hundred elephant seals on the beach as the seals return to give birth and mate. It's pretty amazing to see...and the seals make wild noises (you can check out a video I took on Instagram here)! 

Chimney Rock is located at the eastern spur of Point Reyes Headlands, just before the lighthouse. The views are spectacular and the coastline along Drakes Bay is b-e-a-utiful. It was quite chilly and windy when I visited, so if you go, I definitely suggest bringing layers. I arrived wearing my fringe cardigan (similar here) over my embroidered top (similar here), and luckily I had my denim sherpa jacket (similar here) in the car!
